Chamber Ambassadors Seated: Michele Dow, Harry Corbett, Ann Walton, Angela Campbell, Kim Henson, and Angie Hester Standing: Curt Derr, Monica Campbell, Donna Givens, Sandy Grassmuck, Jerry Studstill, Ron Rambler, and Jeff Unterreiner Chamber Ambassador's play a vital role in the success of the LSLDP Area Chamber of Commerce. Their purpose is to serve as the public relations arm of the LSLDP Area Chamber of Commerce.
The LSLDP Chamber Ambassadors:
Promote the Lake St Louis Dardenne Prairie Area and the Members of the Chamber. Welcome new firms and businesses to the area. Recognize existing businesses that make major changes. Assist in greeting guests at Chamber of Commerce Meetings, Business After Hours, Ribbon-Cutting ceremonies, and other community events. Encourage recognition, visibility and involvement of Chamber members. Assist Chamber staff in recruiting new businesses to join the LSLDP Area Chamber of Commerce. There are many advantages to being a Chamber Ambassador, not the least of which is having fun!! Ambassadors are the first to meet new members and guest at events. Member Spotlight Paperbacks Etc. previously thrived for 16 years at three locations in West County and South County. After a sudden death in the family the stores were closed and many long time customers bid their farewells. Ending a ten year hiatus, I decided it was time to entertain my passion for books again, and began the planning stages of a New and Used Bookstore to serve St. Charles County. We opened Paperbacks Etc. on August 31st, 2009, and are very excited about the clientele we have drawn! Paperbacks Etc. offers New, Used and Cash Books for sale, as well as a Rental Book Club. Our store also carries several audio books available for rent to those on the run, or who may have difficulty reading. Area Book Clubs are welcome to schedule hosted meetings in our store. We invite all area schools to bring in, or e-mail, their required reading lists so we may have those books available for the students' convenience. Also, we will order special selections on request. We would like to invite the public to join Paperbacks Etc. for our Grand Opening Celebration on November 13th and 14th, when we will be offering 15% off all new books, face painting, snacks and more! We are excited to be a part of St. Charles County and are looking forward to meeting the folks who call it home!
